Shipping Domestic & International

  • We handle shipping lists of all sizes for volume gifting from start to finish, simply supply us with your recipients information & we will do the rest.

  • Large Orders: We offer a flat rate delivery charge for multiple orders going to the same location, we’ll provide a competitive quote for multiple orders being shipped to individual locations - we pass along our discounted UPS rates without markup.

  • Free pick-up can be arranged from our studio.

  • Due to the nature of our business - hand packing and curation of each gift - all orders are packed and prepped for shipping in 3-5 business days AND then ship or picked up for local courier service. For example if you place an order on Sunday your order will begin processing and prepped for shipment between Monday and Friday of the same week. Once packed for shipping you will receive your shipping confirmation and tracking information. We strive and often have gifts out the door sooner than later. Weekends do not apply toward business days.

    • While rare, on occasion there may be an extra processing day due to circumstances outside our control ie. Delayed UPS pick up due to extreme weather, Old Downtown Lenexa shut downs for community events (Lenexa Chili Cook Off), etc

  • If you have a deadline or birthday please do not hesitate to request gifts be delivered by ‘x’ date. While we cannot guarantee expedited turnaround time we’ll always strive to ensure your gift arrives for the special occasion. This can be requested via our contact form or on the special instructions box at checkout.

  • Orders from our online collection will ship UPS ground in 2-5 business days, unless otherwise requested.

  • PO Boxes are highly discouraged and require USPS shipping. Please expect longer transit times when USPS is required.

  • International shipping is available upon request and subject to the tariff restrictions of the recipient country

  • If a gift is returned due to an improper address or failure to receive a signature upon arrival the client is responsible for any and all reshipping fees.

Kansas City Box provides timeline estimates of gift arrivals based on the information provide by UPS and UPS.com. The Kansas City Box team will always make it a top priority to closely track your shipments but we cannot be held responsible for any shipping delays once the package has left our studio. If you’re worried about a specific timeline we advise ordering early - UPS may see slower transit times from November 1st - December 31st.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the custom nature of the business we do not accept returns. If your recipient refused the package we will notify the sender of the return once our team has received the package at our Lenexa, KS studio. To re-ship to a recipient who refused a gift OR if an address change is required after the package is in the carriers hands you may be subject to an extra fee. This fee averages $14 and is passed on from the delivery carrier. We will notify you of this fee via email and process payment prior to any re-shipping of a gift.

Refunds are offered on a case by case basis. If your gift was damaged during transit please reach out to the Kansas City Box team at hello@kansascitybox.com within 5 business days with your name and order number so we can submit a claim on your behalf to the courier (UPS, USPS, Fedex). Photograph(s) are required from UPS, USPS, and FedEx for claims. After reaching out, the Kansas City Box team will discuss your options for refund or replacement and find the best fit for your needs.
